Umorpha Systems, from the Greek ‘eumorpha’ meaning well formed, is a collective born of a shared passion for improving the built environment we inhabit while preserving the natural environment we share. Our journey began in 2016 when founders Jason Prince and Jordan lastname first conceptualized a new approach to personal data management that would unify the user’s digital and physical environment. These sessions would go on to lay the foundation for our work. By the time of incorporation in 2023 Umorpha systems had narrowed in on the HVAC industry as an industry in need of open hardware.
Our mission is to bring unprecedented levels of innovation and modularity to the hvac market. By leveraging the power of open source licensing, we empower innovators to build upon our foundation and develop a new generation of hvac hardware that prioritizes performance,interoperability and data transparency for technicians and home owners alike. Umorpha systems recognizes the challenges presented to HVAC installers by black-box equipment and a lack of industry standardization as major obstacles to the broader adoption of high efficiency equipment. By designing flexible, interconnected hardware and the software needed to automate it, we will make it easier than ever before for technicians to install, diagnose and optimize entire smart systems.
